Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The title quote isn’t from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” but, hey, at least I kept it seasonal.
Maybe one day you’ll rush in from a wintry chill to raise a glass of “A Winter’s Ale” and I can recycle this line in a more appropriate climate, but until such a time arises let’s keep our eyes on the prize: back by popular demand, Heather is tapping a brand new batch of Midsummer Night’s Brew TODAY, Monday June 4th at 5:00!
Perfect for hot summer days (and even better for long, long hot summer nights), this beer is made with a mix of American and British grains, a few hops for balance, and most importantly, eight pounds of fresh root ginger. This style of alcoholic summer ale dates back to the mid 1700’s in the U.S. and England, and is making a comeback with the recent renewed interest in craft beer.
The golden amber color of this brew is summer in a glass, and the subtle ginger aroma and flavor make it not only easy to drink and but hard to stop. It’s got just the right amount of fresh ginger spice to quench your thirst. Midsummer Night’s Brew is the perfect beer to have after a long day of mowing the yard, kayaking the ‘Hootch, swimming in your preferred body of water, or just sitting on the sidewalk at The Cannon taking in the Broadway cacophony.
And ginger being a spice (no, not that one), of course it pairs well with food! The ginger kick in the Midsummer Night’s Brew will enhance any of the spicier dishes on our menu. For starters, try it with the Southwestern Spicy Pork Eggrolls. It also complements the Jambalaya Pasta, Southwestern Pasta, or a juicy Cannon Burger with jalapeños. The ginger beer also pairs nicely with dessert—try it with the Key Lime Pie or the Mini Fried Apple Pies.
So, to beer or not to beer?
Well, that proves that there is such a thing as a stupid question.
Join us Monday, June 4th at 5 o’clock to celebrate summer with the Midsummer Night’s Brew!
