There are few things in life better than beer (that I can write about in this blog, at least!). One thing does come to mind that trumps a freshly pumped pint of beer: a bigger “pint” of beer!
After all, “the pint” is not some static, stone-etched measurement. Its size is in the eye of the holder.
Take, for instance, our cousins across the sea:
In 1824, the British Weights & Measurements Act defined a pint as being 20 fluid ounces. This was dubbed an imperial pint. Sure the Empire has long since fallen, but the imperial pint still looms large on pub tables across the British Isles.

We give you the King of Beers: THE 22 OZ. “PINT!”
America, still exalting our “rugged individualism,” played with the metric system for a couple days and then booted it away like a soccer ball. Which is sad, really. Our pints have always been four fluid ounces smaller than the Brits.
Even after rationing!
Until now!
The Cannon Brewpub has taken it upon ourselves to rectify this long-standing deficit. We give you the King of Beers:
THE 22 OZ. “PINT!”
That’s right. Now you can order each of our craft-brewed beers in 22 oz. draughts.
So, come to the Cannon Brewpub and celebrate our great nation’s traditions of rejecting the metric system and making great things greater.
Cheers, mates!
